Amendment No. 1 was offered by Representatives Gara and Meyer: Page 2, following line 1: Insert a new bill section to read: "* Sec. 2. AS 34.50.020 is amended by adding a new subsection to read: (d) Liability for the conduct described in this section shall not attach to the legal guardian of any child who has been adopted after being in state custody, including foster care." Representative Gara moved and asked unanimous consent that Amendment No. 1 be adopted. There being no objection, it was so ordered. Representative Coghill moved and asked unanimous consent that CSHB 18(JUD) am be considered engrossed, advanced to third reading, and placed on final passage. Objection was heard. CSHB 18(JUD) am will advance to third reading on tomorrow's calendar.
